Visual Communication - Bachelor
Spit the Pit started with one goal, and that goal was to create a brand synonymous with the classic cocktail, the dirty martini. The disproportionate ratio of brine to olive has long plagued the humble bartender, having to opt for house-made saline (salt water) to replace the savoury, complex flavours of brine. Now a line or products has been specifically made to fill this niche.

Our objective is to highlight this gap in the market, creating a strong link to the concept of signature cocktail ingredients (like Campari with Negroni).
The brand aims to become synonymous with the iconic cocktail, to were you could ask a bartender for a “Spit the Pit” and they would respond with, “with gin, or vodka?”.
Bethany's passion for art and photography led her to pursue a major in Visual Communications allowing her to combine her interests in the Bachelor of Design at QUT. She has found that producing graphics for weddings and local businesses has allowed her to grow as a designer and taught her how to market herself as a freelancer.
