FanMail is a brand from artists, for fans.
Young fans in Australia are heavily involved in all things music, however the majority of this dedication is directed towards international popstars. FanMail aims to connect dedicated fangirls to up-and-coming local pop artists, increasing knowledge of and accessibility to the Australian music industry.
The audience for music artists are often described as ‘fangirls’, which over the years has become a powerful community. Fangirls are proud, dedicated, and extremely involved in the music industry – inspiring the brand that is FanMail.
User: Young pop music fans in Australia (16-25), who love supporting artists, buying merch/collectables, and are looking for new music.
Scenario: The Australian pop music scene is extremely overlooked and is sometimes hard to discover, resulting in young fangirls favouring established international popstars. FanMail is a brand selling collectable discovery boxes and regularly posting social media content, working with local pop artists to curated MailBoxes, delivered right to your door. Each bi-monthly edition will bring a fun twist to discovering new music and form a more meaningful connection between fans and artists.
Objective: Make Australian pop music more accessible to a younger audience by highlighting our country’s local talent in an exciting, collectable way, overall helping these artists find and/or grow their fanbase.
These music fans are also collectors, whether it includes plastering posters across bedroom walls, gathering set lists after gigs, buying physical music media, or simply building a vast collection of merch, stickers, and old wristbands. Accordingly, FanMail offers inexpensive, collectable ‘MailBoxes’ delivered right to your door!
Each edition is curated by a surprise pop artist to connect fans to them and their music, and is full of themed collectable goodies that can be displayed, shared and treasured. You don’t know who it’ll be or what’s inside until it’s delivered!
