KORIZON: Korean Cultural Festival Branding

“Korizon” is a cultural festival brand fusing Korean tradition with modern creativity. Combining “Korea” and “horizon,” it symbolizes heritage meeting innovation. Inspired by dancheong and bold colors, it embodies “Tradition Meets Tomorrow.” The project proposes a festival identity framework that bridges tradition, innovation, and community, offering a visual identity model adaptable to festivals of various cultures.

Logo and symbol for the Korizon, a Korean cultural festival brand. The design represents a blend of Korean heritage and a futuristic horizon, featuring a custom logotype and a geometric icon.

Logo & Symbol

The logo for “Korizon” is designed using the playful, rounded typeface Alba Super, chosen to reflect the festival’s lively and contemporary energy. The design balances modern aesthetics with soft, approachable forms. The ‘K’ has been slightly modified to enhance readability and maintain visual harmony within the wordmark. The gradient fill, paired with a moderate-contrast outline, adds depth and vibrancy. Together, these elements create a dynamic and welcoming visual identity.

The Korizon symbol is inspired by dancheong, a traditional Korean decorative pattern that embodies cultural richness. The circular form evokes the image of a rising sun, connecting to the theme of the horizon. It conveys a sense of renewal, energy, and new beginnings, giving the festival brand an optimistic and uplifting impression.
